Soybeans is mainly grown in the northern states of Nigeria. Some of the soyabeans producing states in Nigeria include Plateau, Benue, Kogi, Adamawa, Kaduna and Kano.

Some southern states in Nigeria like Oyo also produce soybeans in large quantity. Soybeans prefer growing locations in the Savannah belt of the country. Soybeans will not do well in wet and humid conditions.
